Hocus Pocus 2's first trailer has finally arrived as a (very) early Halloween treat ahead of its release on Disney+ later this year.
The long-awaited sequel brings back Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the iconic Sanderson sisters with the trio returning to wreak havoc nearly 30 years after the release of the first movie.
While the trailer only gives a brief tease of their return, there's enough spooky goings-on – including the return of the Black Flame Candle and the magic book – to get us even more excited for the sequel.
What to Read Next
Hocus Pocus 2 will be released exclusively on Disney+ on September 30, so mark those diaries now.
The sequel sees the Sanderson sisters return for revenge after three high-school students accidentally bring the trio back to modern-day Salem. It's now up to the students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking havoc before dawn on All Hallows' Eve.
Hocus Pocus 2 also brings back Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson, while Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham and Belissa Escobedo star as Becca, Cassie and Izzy, respectively, the teenagers who bring the Sanderson sisters back to life.
The sequel's cast is rounded out by Ted Lasso's Hannah Waddingham and Veep stars Tony Hale and Sam Richardson, as well as Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Paige Henderson and Nina Kitchen.
Anne Fletcher took over from original director Adam Shankman, who served as executive producer instead, and the sequel has been written by Jen D'Angelo.
Earlier this month, Richardson teased his mystery role in Hocus Pocus 2, although couldn't say much as he didn't want to end up on "Disney's shit list".
"I can say that I did get to shoot a lot of scenes with the ladies, and as a fan of all three of them, who grew up watching that movie, it was a really surreal and really fun and exciting process to get to watch them be those characters up close," he added.
"I was outside of myself the whole time, just, like, 'Wow, I’m watching Hocus Pocus from the inside'."
We'd all be the same, to be fair.
Hocus Pocus 2 is released on Disney+ on September 30, while Hocus Pocus is available to watch now on Disney+.
