Black Adam is due out later this year, and will feature the big screen debut of Hawkman, played by Hidden Figures and Straight Outta Compton star Aldis Hodge.
But the Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson vehicle isn't actually the DC debut for Hodge, as he is providing the lead voice role in the animated film Green Lantern: Beware My Power.
The film focuses on the John Stewart version of the character, and tells the story of how he gets his magical ring of power and dons the superhero mantle.

Although it looks like it starts off similarly to the live-action Ryan Reynolds film, in this universe Sinestro is already evil and seemingly responsible for the deaths of other Green Lanterns, including Hal Jordan.
It also includes the Justice League, or at least it includes members Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl and Green Arrow, who the newest Lantern must work together with to stop a threat to the entire universe. Pretty much a standard requirement for a superhero CV nowadays.

Hodge isn't the only Black Adam star making their DC debut in an animated movie, as Dwayne Johnson himself is starring in the upcoming DC's League of Super Pets, which hits cinemas this summer and features an all-star voice cast.
Green Lantern: Beware My Power will be released on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and digital on-demand on July 26.
