Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has dropped another trailer today (March 14) – but to tease its release, the filmmakers have been getting us hyped at the expense of that original Sonic movie design.
Sonic's voice actor Ben Schwartz shared a new teaser on Twitter ahead of time, but at Sonic speed... which means it's so fast that you can barely make anything out.
You might have noticed a few frames in the teaser that looked off compared to the rest of the trailer, even if they whizz by too quickly for you to know what they are.
Thankfully, Schwartz shared those frames on his Twitter, including a still of himself wearing huge hedgehog shoes, Idris Elba with 'Knuckles' gloves, a 'Sanic' meme drawing, and the original movie design with a red 'no' sign over it.

The Sonic the Hedgehog sequel sees Idris Elba's Knuckles the Echidna team up with Jim Carrey's Dr Robotnik (although we're sure it'll be because he's tricked into doing so) to fight Sonic and find the Master Emerald, which Robotnik seemingly uses to power his Giant Death Egg robot.

The sequel is also introducing Sonic's best friend, Miles Prower, best known as Tails. He's voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey, the character's current voice actor in the games and animated projects.

Even though the second film hasn't been released yet, Paramount and SEGA are clearly happy enough with how well the first one did, as they've already greenlit a third film and a spin-off that will focus on Knuckles.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released in cinemas on April 1 in the UK.
