Outlander's Steven Cree and A Discovery of Witches star Teresa Palmer are up against a terrifying presence in the new trailer for The Twin.
As is tradition with the horror genre, there's a great big spooky house, an overwhelming sense of isolation and a disturbed child on display, with Finnish writer-director Taneli Mustonen nicely cranking up the tension.

A synopsis for The Twin reveals how grieving husband Anthony (Cree) and wife Rachel (Palmer) relocate the family to the other side of the world after one of their twins is killed in a tragic accident.
"What begins as a time of healing in the quiet Scandinavian countryside soon takes an ominous turn when Rachel begins to unravel the torturous truth about her son and confronts the malicious forces attempting to take a hold of him."

Previously hyping up the project, which is Mustonen's first English-language film, executive producer Fabien Westerhoff shared in a brief statement: "It's a great example of what we like doing with our filmmakers – spotting them, launching a directorial brand, and then helping them step up to the next level in their career."
Producer and co-writer Aleksi Hyvärinen commented: "We're over the moon to have Teresa as our lead in The Twin. Genuinely deeply scary, it is also a harrowing and relatable tale of loss, which puts the viewer on the edge of their seat right from start to end."
