Star Wars: The Last Jedi's director Rian Johnson and Mark Hamill are giving you full permission to completely avoid any and all marketing for the movie — from interviews to trailers.
What to Read Next
The rush of interviews, new footage and photos in recent weeks has some Star Wars fans understandably worried that The Last Jedi's surprises are being spoiled, especially since the cinema release is still four months away.
That point was put directly to Rian Johnson on Twitter this week by a fan who complained that he'd already "been told too much" about The Last Jedi, leading the filmmaker to offer some practical advice.
"More stuff is coming, that's the nature of the beast," Rian admitted. "But I fully endorse avoiding everything you can from now till December!"
Luke Skywalker himself is fully on board with that strategy, replying: "I fully endorse this @rianjohnson endorsement: AVOID EVERYTHING YOU CAN FROM NOW TILL DECEMBER!!!!! #WordsOfWisdom #WellWorthWaitingForVIII"
If you're one of those brave souls not worried about spoilers, you've probably really enjoyed the news we've had over the past week about Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Whether it is fresh details about Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro's mysterious characters, Luke and Rey's fraught relationship, Kylo Ren's Vader-esque starfighter, or the introduction of the adorable Porg, there's been something for everyone.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released in UK cinemas on December 14 and US cinemas on December 15. Watch a trailer below:
