Sarah Silverman laid into 007 in the way only she can as she introduced Sam Smith at this year's Oscars.

Before the British singer performed 'The Writing's On The Wall' - the theme to Spectre -  Silverman took the spy down a few pegs.

"Oh here's something. James Bond - not a grower or a shower. I don't want to say he's terrible in bed... but he's slept with 55 women in 24 movies and most of them tried to kill him afterwards."

Referencing author Anthony Horowitz's claim that Idris Elba was "too street" to play Bond, Silverman quipped of the character: "In my opinion I don't think he's street enough."

She capped it off by welcoming Smith on stage as the man who "who through no fault of his own sang the latest Bond song".
