Sarah Jessica Parker has admitted that she banned former Sex and the City co-star Chris Noth from visiting the Lovelace set while filming the movie.

Parker signed on to play feminist icon Gloria Steinem in Lovelace last month when Demi Moore was forced to drop out of the film because of her recent hospitalization.

Noth also appears in Lovelace, but Parker recently admitted to USA Today that she rejected a meeting with her old friend while she was working on the film.

"I said 'Absolutely not. You must forbid him from coming'. I knew it would be a terrible distraction and he was going to make fun of me, laugh at me," Parker explained, adding: "But I do love him."

Parker went on to reveal that she and Noth reunited in New York City only after she'd finished filming her Lovelace scenes.

"I was very happy to see him," she declared.
