Kristen Stewart's latest film Personal Shopper has been booed at the Cannes Film Festival.

What to Read Next

The film reunites Stewart with her Clouds of Sils Maria director Olivier Assayas, and received its press screening tonight (May 16) amid boos - admittedly not an unheard-of response at Cannes.

However, some of the critics at the screening have joked about the boos, which have seemingly made other people want to see it even more.

The film stars Stewart as Maureen, a personal shopper to the stars who also has the psychic ability to communicate with spirits, just like her recently deceased twin brother.

She soon starts receiving ambiguous messages from an unknown source.

The actress also appeared in the Cannes opener, Woody Allen's Café Society, which received altogether more positive reviews.
