Now his latest offering, Café Society, starring Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg, will open this year's 69th Cannes Film Festival.

Set in 1930s Hollywood, the film co-stars stars Parker Posey, Blake Lively and Steve Carell. It also reunites its lead actors Stewart and Eisenberg, who previously starred together in Adventureland and last year's stoner comedy American Ultra.
Café Society will be Allen's 46th feature, but most importantly, it means he is the first director to have three opening night features at the prestigious film festival.
Meanwhile, his latest leading actress Kristen Stewart has been spotted with her own leading lady recently.
