Now You See Me has landed in the top spot of the Australian box office.
The Jesse Eisenberg-starring thriller earned almost $4m in its first weekend of release, while director Michael Bay's Pain & Gain - another new entry - finished in second position with $1.8m.
Lionsgate recently confirmed that a sequel to Now You See Me has been commissioned as a result of its international success.
The Wolverine fell to third with $1.5m, after winning the box office for the previous two weeks.
Horror movie The Conjuring and female buddy cop comedy The Heat were also in the top five.
Bollywood action film Chennai Express finished in eighth position in its first weekend of release by taking in $385,262.

The movie's star Shah Rukh Khan has described Chennai Express as "a beautiful film".
Pacific Rim and Man of Steel both dropped out of the top ten this past weekend, falling to number 12 and number 14 respectively.
