Forget about all the plot holes and the wild continuity issues for a second and instead focus on the sheer joy that Mamma Mia!, and now Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, brings you.

A third Mamma Mia! film can only be a good thing then, right? Right! How could we resist it, etc.

Fortunately, the cast are just as keen as fans – and they even have a title or two in mind. (Although they're not quite punny enough for our tastes.)

Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Amanda Seyfried, who plays Sophie Sheridan in the films, was very enthusiastic when asked about the potential for another sequel. "Oh yeah! Beyond yes," she said.

Lily James, who plays a young Meryl Streep Donna Sheridan in Here We Go Again, is also up for it. "We laughed that it could be Mamma Mia! The DNA Test. You finally find out who the dad is."

What to Read Next

Amanda and Lily aren't the only ones ready for a return to Kalokairi, as Christine Baranski confirmed she was "ready for the next sequel because it's just so much fun to do".

Pierce Brosnan also threw his two cents in, suggesting to the cast that they better "make it soon". And he'd be right to say that – after all, Amanda Seyfried has a habit of changing her mind.

Just last month the actress admitted that she thought a third Mamma Mia! would be "ridiculous". "I feel there is enough ABBA music for sure," she said, "but I'm going to say the same thing I said ten years ago – I don't f**king think so."
