Even if you're not a fan of the Mission: Impossible movies, you'll probably know that Tom Cruise broke his ankle while filming the latest one.
Of course, it didn't stop him from finishing the movie after a few months off and according to co-star Rebecca Ferguson, he was back to his old self. "Literally the same old. It's incredible. I don't know how he healed so fast," she told Digital Spy.
"I don't remember how long the hiatus was. I went diving, I made a baby, you know, life just continues. I think he came back and he said, 'I've started to do these other films', and you just think, 'You just haven't been resting'."
Simon Pegg confirmed that Cruise just got "straight back into" action on Mission: Impossible – Fallout, even though the on-set injury had its effects.
"He was in pain when we came back, he was quietly grin-and-bearing-it a little bit, but he never complained. The day he stopped having to run around on it, you could see that he was relieved he got through it. He's a brave soldier," he reflected.
For returning writer and director Christopher McQuarrie, he chose to see the incident in a more positive light. "There's a silver lining to this, we just don't know what it is yet," he noted of his initial reaction to the injury.

"I've made enough movies with Tom, I've been working on movies long enough, when things go wrong, that's a very natural part of the process, not that they always go THAT wrong.
"But when they do go wrong, it forces you to be more creative, you almost invariably end up looking at a setback with gratitude and saying, 'Imagine if that hadn't happened'. We would have done what we wanted to do instead of what we had to do, so I embrace boundaries, it's all part of the process."
Ahead of the release of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, McQuarrie has also explained why the sixth movie is missing a major character and Vanessa Kirby has revealed a surprise connection to the first movie.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout is in UK cinemas on July 25 and US cinemas on July 27. Book tickets here.
