Halloween reboot producer Jason Blum has revealed that he's seen an early cut of the movie and is "very very excited" by it.
Back in February, returning star Jamie Lee Curtis confirmed that filming had finished on the upcoming direct sequel to the 1978 original, and now it seems director David Gordon Green has wasted no time in editing it.
"I feel really good about it, I saw a cut of it two nights ago. I think David did a terrific job," Blum told Digital Spy. "He did everything I hoped he would do which is respect the DNA of the franchise and bring something totally new to it and we're really very very excited for people to see it."
The reboot saw John Carpenter return as an executive producer, as well as writing the score, and Blum praised him as their "mentor" on set.
"The most fun I had with him is I brought him to the set, and I was on the set with him and Jamie Lee Curtis, and boy that was pretty special, pretty amazing. It was a proper reunion," he enthused.
Original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle will also be part of the cast, so we're expecting it to be extra scary, with the reboot's screenplay written by Green and Danny McBride.
