Duncan Jones's long-awaited movie Mute arrived on Netflix today (February 23).
The filmmaker has called it the "spiritual sequel" to his acclaimed movie Moon, so it should come as no surprise that it has a big Easter egg relating to the 2009 film.

While the film's hero Leo (Alexander Skarsgård) is having coffee and toast in a cafe, a television behind him plays a news story covering a lawsuit.
On the screen is a courtroom filled with people who all look like Sam Rockwell.
"The 156 face their maker – Lunar Industries ex-employee questioned by panel in the presence of scores of his clones," reads the ticker at the bottom of the screen.
This refers to the twist in Moon, which reveals that Rockwell's Sam Bell is one of many clones who were created to operate a remote lunar mining facility and die within three years.
"Did moon dust really lead to the short-circuit of Lunar Industries GERTY system," reads a later ticker. GERTY was the computer voiced by Kevin Spacey in Moon.
Rockwell can be seen on a screen again later in the film, in the flat where Leo finds Oswald (Dominic Monaghan).
Jones dedicated the film to his late father, David Bowie.
"An awful lot of the story revolves around the nature of parenthood," he said.
Jones came up with the idea for Mute before Moon was even released, but had to put the project on the back burner while he was working on Warcraft.
