Chris Hemsworth has now played Thor in five movies, along with his cameo and short films. Now that the Aussie God of Thunder has added Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 to the list, he's revealed that he and his co-stars were kind of glad to see the back of them.

The cast shot the Russo brothers' superhero epics back-to-back, which must be exhausting. The latest remarks come after Chris spoke about becoming weary of the role and how Thor: Ragnarok turned that around.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, he explained: "The last couple of months, it just felt like you wanted to get to the end and all of us were like 'How many more days left, how many more days?'"

But he was quick to clarify that the magnitude of what they'd all been making didn't dawn on him until after it was done.

He continued: "This last week, I was sitting there and as they wrapped me, all of a sudden it sort of hit me. 'Wait a second, I didn't soak this up enough, I didn't make the most of it, I didn't say goodbye to anyone, or whatever.'

"We've been doing this for seven years or something now."

Jimmy added: "Yeah, it's something that everybody will remember forever really."

"The same as us," said Chris. "I'm a fan of that world and we're a part of it as much as anybody."

Some of Chris' fellow cast members Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Karen Gillan (Nebula) have shared their thoughts on social media about wrapping the monumental movies.

The Russo brothers recently teased "radical changes" for Thor in the upcoming movies, which could hint towards a female Thor, or maybe *GULP* just a straight-up death.

Meanwhile, new images have emerged from the set of Avengers 4, which show a dramatic makeover for Tony Stark. Namely: blonde hair.

Avengers: Infinity War flies into cinemas on April 27, 2018
