After teasing his involvement with Marvel's upcoming Black Panther movie at the end of last year in the music video for his song 'Love', Kendrick Lamar has now treated us to the first song from the film's soundtrack.
'All The Stars' by Kendrick Lamar and SZA dropped today (January 4) as the lead single for the new film – and you can listen to it in full right here:
But that's not all, as alongside the release of the first single, it was also confirmed that Lamar is working with Top Dawg Entertainment and its founder Anthony Tiffith to curate and produce Black Panther: The Album too.
Similar to the way Lorde took control of The Hunger Games: Mockingay – Part 1 soundtrack, the album will feature songs included in and directly inspired by Black Panther, with 'All The Stars' being just the beginning.
"Marvel Studios' Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director," Lamar said after the announcement dropped.
"The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I'm truly honoured to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside [director Ryan Coogler] and Marvel's vision."
