Flashpoint has made a sprint closer to our cinema screens – nope, it hasn't landed a director yet, but the script has finally been completed and handed in.
It's a rather exciting update for a film history that mainly involves director struggles and script rewrites; at least that's one down.

According to Variety's Justin Kroll, Warner Bros received the script on Wednesday (September 25) and they're keeping open-minded about who'll be helming the project.
Though he did say the studio still have Robert Zemeckis in their sights, nothing's set in stone yet.

"For those wondering this ARTEMIS news pretty much take L&M out of running for FLASH. That script was turned in yesterday to studio," Kroll wrote on Twitter.
"Bob z still being considered but studio will take meetings with other filmmakers, in no rush to make announcement."
The Flashpoint story sees Barry Allen/The Flash travel back in time to save his mother, but when he returns to the present, the world is dramatically different, including the non-existence of the Justice League.
Ezra Miller is set to reprise his role as the speedster, but not before we see him in action again in Justice League on November 17.
