Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown could have added another pint-sized badass to her CV.

As part of Variety's Actors on Actors series, she revealed to Evan Rachel Wood that the best audition she's had so far was going for X-23 in Hugh Jackman's Wolverine finale Logan, even if she didn't get the part.

"It meant so much to me. I was filming Stranger Things and I was like, 'This is gonna be amazing, I'm gonna really prepare', and I sat in my room reading the lines," Millie explained.

"And honestly, for me, I felt so... I felt an actor, in the audition room, hitting Hugh Jackman, and [director] James Mangold sitting right in front of me. I was like, 'Oh my goodness!' It was the best audition."

It sounds like Hugh had a rough old time during the Logan auditions, as it was revealed earlier this month that Dafne Keen – who bagged the role of X-23 – kicked his arse during them.

"I've never gone home with bruises," Hugh confessed. "There's a scene where she punches me in the arm and I went home and I had bruises all over my arm."

It's a tough life being a movie star.

Millie added that she saw Logan and praised Dafne for being "incredible" in it – and it's not like she hasn't had other success since, recently winning Best Actor in a Show at the MTV Movie & TV Awards for her performance as Eleven.

Netflix

Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy has been talking up the upcoming season two of Netflix's surprise hit, which lands this Halloween.

"Will Byers is very much at the centre of several intersecting challenges and threats in season 2," he teased. "And I think overall the kind of forces of evil that are inherent in season 2 make that Demogorgon look quaint in retrospect."

We can't wait.
