Superhero movies are a thing these days apparently. And while Marvel leads the way in the humongo cinematic-universe stakes, DC and Warner Bros are now hot on its heels, having announced a whole raft of titles coming to you in the next few years.

Starring: Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ewan McGregor
Cathy Yan will direct the all-female team movie, which will feature Harley Quinn alongside the likes of Huntress and Black Canary. It's got a super long title too: Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).
Wonder Woman 1984 release date June 5, 2020

Starring: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine
The hotly anticipated follow-up to Jenkins's hit movie will jump ahead in Diana's story to 1984 and, weirdly, Chris Pine will be back too.

Fresh off Marvel's roster, Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn is writing the script for a sequel/reboot to the critically panned 2016 movie. He's said to be in talks to direct the film too.

Miller goes solo in the adventures of the fastest man alive, but it apparently won't be filming until 2019.
Aquaman 2

Starring: Jason Momoa
After the first film broke the billion-dollar barrier, you can bet a second is in the works. Momoa has to come back, and we'd expect Amber Heard at the very least (and probably Black Manta actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II after that mid-credits scene, too). James Wan is likely to be involved in some way but is yet to sign up to direct again.
The Trench

Warner Bros is clearly hoping to capture some of Wan's Conjuring magic, as they also have him producing a horror-tinged Aquaman spin-off about the scary fish monsters of the Trench.
Batgirl

A film is in the works for Batman's sometime sidekick/ally, although it reportedly won't be connected to Birds of Prey (despite Barbara Gordon being a founding member of the comic book team). Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson has been working on a script since the exit of Joss Whedon in 2018.
