There have been so many developments in the ongoing saga that has become Ben Affleck's The Batman we can hardly keep up, but the latest buzz is that Joe Manganiello is no longer confident he'll be involved with the project.
The actor was in line to play the movie's leading big bad Deathstroke, but those plans may now be on the back burner due to further production delays.
The movie seemed to be getting back on track when Cloverfield's Matt Reeves was brought in to replace Ben Affleck as director.
However, last week it looked like things were going to be pushed back again, as Reeves tried to fit filming around his work on War of the Planet of the Apes.
All of this uncertainty seemed to have little effect on Manganiello, who teased earlier this month that filming would finally begin sometime around June, but it seems the latest delays may have been the figurative straw that, like Bane, broke The Batman's back.
Speaking to Pittsburgh Today Live, Manganiello was asked if he was indeed "going to play Deathstroke in the upcoming Batman movie".

His response? "Um, maybe. We'll see."
Hmm...
Affleck's script for The Batman has already been rewritten by his Argo collaborator Chris Terrio - but Reeves may want to start afresh with a brand new concept.
For now, we'll have to make do with some Batfleck action in the upcoming Justice League movie, due to hit cinemas on November 17.
