After the release of Spectre last December, the cast and crew of James Bond were dropping major hints that it would be Daniel Craig's last outing as the MI5 operative.
Leading the pack was Craig himself, who said that he "would rather slash his writs than return to the franchise" , although his departure from the role is yet to be confirmed.
We already know that Spectre's director Sam Mendes won't be returning to the series, but it seems the remaining crew want to see Craig back behind the wheel of an undoubtedly fancy Aston Martin.
And speaking to Radio 4's Today programme this morning, Bond's executive producer Callum McDougall said Craig was "absolutely the first choice" of series producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson.
Which we kind of already know, since Broccoli has previously stated that she really doesn't want to lose Craig in the iconic role.
"I know [Broccoli and Wilson] are hoping for him to come back," said McDougall, who also insisted the role was "absolutely" Craig's, should he choose to continue as Ian Fleming's legendary spy.

But McDougall still has no idea whether he actually will or not, unfortunately.
"I wish I knew," he added.
Craig, 48, made his debut as Bond in 2006's Casino Royale, reprising the role in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
And while he was pretty adamant that he didn't want to return for Bond's next outing, we bet rumours of a £150 million pay cheque certainly made it a hard deal to turn down.
Although there's already been heaps of speculation as to who might replace him...
