Could Henry Cavill - or Superman as he's better known these days - be taking over as the next James Bond too?

We wouldn't be so quick to throw away the idea of an actor playing two heroic icons if Cavill's appearance on Friday's The Graham Norton Show is anything to go by.

Speaking to everyone's favourite Irish chat show host and general-rounder upper of the A-list, Cavill said of the 007 possibility: "I'm very busy with the Superman stuff, but if there were any windows and they wanted me to do that kind of role it would be great and I would love to do it."

Obviously. When asked if it was greedy taking on both roles, Cavill quipped: "Greedy or awesome?"

Well, we'd say it's pretty awesome for any Cavill fans who want to see the actor switch from cape to tux.

Elsewhere on the chat show, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice co-star Ben Affleck opened up about that internet backlash after being cast as the Caped Crusader.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is on general release from Friday. The Graham Norton Show airs Friday at 10.25pm on BBC One.
