In a night that saw presentation speeches at the EE BAFTA Film Awards take on the topics of diversity and transgender issues, it's no surprise that one of the biggest British political news pieces of last year also got a mention.

David Cameron's #piggate scandal was once again brought into the spotlight on Sunday as ceremony host Stephen Fry introduced Douglas Booth and Max Irons to present the award for Production Design.

"The next two presenters appeared together in a film about the school days of David Cameron and Boris Johnson called The Riot Club," Fry said. "The first rule of Riot Club is you go on to ruin the country - run the country!" 

"Thanks for mentioning that," Irons countered. "It's a shame we had to cut the scene with the pig." 

"Yes, I put a lot of effort into that one," quipped Booth.

Booth and Irons starred in The Riot Club, an adaptation of Laura Wade's play Posh, in 2014.

They presented the Production Design award to Colin Gibson and Lisa Thompson for their work on Mad Max: Fury Road.
