"OK, this is overwhelming," he began. "The tradition of filmmaking here is incredible. My father always told me that British actors, that's real ACTING.
"Funnily, I am also celebrating the two-year anniversary of my father's death - I am sure he is working upstairs for this award. I promised my mum I would not be sad, and I would celebrate that I had him in my life for 50 years."

Iñárritu was also inspired by the Valentine's Day setting and paid tribute to his wife, since it's their 24th wedding anniversary tomorrow (February 15).
The Revenant was the big winner at Sunday night's event, picking up Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor for star Leonardo DiCaprio in his first ever BAFTA win (we know, we can't believe it either).
