Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson pay tribute to David Bowie: 'Zoolander cameo was a special day'

There were many celebrity cameos even in the first Zoolander film, but few are as memorable as David Bowie's. 

When the film's stars came to London recently to promote Zoolander 2, we asked them about working with Bowie, and they paid him a warm tribute. Watch it below.

If you remember the first film, you'll recall that David Bowie stepped in as the judge of the 'walk-off' between Ben Stiller's Derek Zoolander and his rival for male-model supremacy, Owen Wilson's Hansel. It was a charming moment that played up to Bowie's immense cool; who else could possibly crown the world's best male model?

Zoolander and its sequel are, of course, chronicles of the trials and tribulations of ageing male model Derek Zoolander. In the first film he was threatened by the up-and-coming Hansel and then brainwashed to work as an assassin for evil designer Mugatu (Will Ferrell) - stick with us here.

This time, he's in isolation following a personal tragedy, but may be the key to unravelling the mysterious murder of a series of popstars including Justin Bieber.
