Despite its critical mauling, Adam Sandler's controversial comedy Western The Ridiculous Six has been a stunning success for Netflix.

Speaking at tech conference CES, Netflix head honcho Ted Sarandos explained just how Sandler's all-star farce has done so well:

"The Ridiculous Six, in its first 30 days on Netflix, [has] been the most-watched movie in the history of Netflix."

Wow. Not bad for a 0%-on-Rotten-Tomatoes movie one reviewer likened to "a donkey taking a big ol' turd on the august Western genre".

"It's also enjoyed a spot at number one in every territory we operate in," Sarandos continued. "And in many of them it's still number one."

Take that, critics. Your bilious take-downs can't stop Adam Sandler and company gooning their way to victory.
