Hollywood clearly isn't busy enough with both a female and male (allegedly) Ghostbusters to make, as now there's an animated movie on the way too.
Sony Pictures Animation is reportedly working on the film with original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman on board as producer through his Montecito Picture Company.

No writer or director are attached to the project just yet, while plot details are also unknown at this stage.
This isn't the first Ghostbusters animation. An animated series followed the first film in the '80s.
Sony, meanwhile, is also making a similar animation spun off from its Amazing Spider-Man franchise, written and directed by The Lego Movie's Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
