Amy Schumer is set to co-write and star in a new comedy that explores the mother-daughter relationship.
The Inside Amy Schumer actress will have a key role in the project, which also has The Heat's Paul Feig signed on as one of the producers.
According toThe Hollywood Reporter, the comedienne will work with her sister Kim Caramele to rewrite a script by Katie Dippold so that the main character can be put in Schumer's voice.
While the plot for the project has not yet been revealed, it is thought to be an action-comedy based on a mother and daughter pair who are stuck on a holiday that's gone wrong.
Jessie Henderson will join Feig as a producer for the film, with Dippold serving as executive producer and Daria Cercek overseeing for Fox.
Schumer wrote and stars in the upcoming Judd Apatow film Trainwreck, which opens on July 17 in the US and August 28 in the UK.
