Hugh Grant is playing against type as the villain of horror movie Heretic, which is now available to watch at home following a successful run at the cinema.

Released by Everything Everywhere All at Once studio A24, the film follows two Mormon girls who visit the home of Grant's quirky recluse in an attempt to get him to join the cause, but soon find themselves fighting for their very lives.

So if you fancy inviting murderous Hugh Grant into your home, Heretic is now available to buy or rent from Prime Video, iTunes and other digital retailers in the UK.

Over in the US, it's also available from outlets like iTunes and Prime Video.

At the moment, the film hasn't been announced for release on DVD and Blu-ray.

"I filmed it two ways. There's a moment where I crawl across the floor to her, having been stabbed, which I did in two ways," the actor explained.

"One where he's still trying to make the whole thing fun, as he's been trying to make the whole evening fun. He's kind of going, 'Look at this, this is fun, dying'. And then I did another one where all his defenses have gone and he's absolutely shitting himself that he's going to die, and he's very frightened.

"He wants some comfort and he wants her to comfort him, perhaps with a prayer."
