The Radleys is based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Matt Haig, with the supporting cast including Loki's Sophia Di Martino, plus Harry Baxendale and Bo Bragason as the couple's son and daughter.

Lewis plays two roles in the film: dad Peter and his twin brother Will, with the latter a 'practising' vampire whose unexpected visit turns into a timely opportunity for the family.

Here's a round-up of what reviewers have been saying of The Radleys so far:

Digital Spy

"The most impressive element of The Radleys is that, thanks to its talented cast and smart tweaks to the original story, you'll care for this family come the inevitably bloody finale.

"They might be vampires, but they feel believably human in their desires and fears, even relatable to a certain extent."

Collider

"The Radleys isn’t trying to overperform, or beat out any of the already recognizable vamps we know and love in pop culture. It’s simply trying to tell its own story, and understands the most important tenets of creating vampire fiction."

Screen Rant

"Despite a promising premise and incredibly talented cast and crew, The Radleys delivers an underwhelming finished product that falls flat."

Radio Times

"As the tone lurches from deadpan fun to darker developments, The Radleys ultimately bites off more than it can chew."

The Radleys is released on Sky Cinema and select UK cinemas on October 18.
