Robert Pattinson's Possession remake has received an exciting update.

The upcoming horror film, which is a remake of the 1981 cult classic of the same name, has reportedly found its home over at Paramount Pictures following a bidding war with other Hollywood studios, said to include Warner Bros and Sony (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Smile filmmaker Parker Finn is set to write the script, direct and produce the film through his Bad Feeling production company, while Pattinson will produce through his production company Icki Eneo Arlo alongside Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee. It has not yet been confirmed whether Pattinson will also star.

"After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal... and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it."
