Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is out now in cinemas, has now arrived in cinemas, telling the story of Furiosa before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road.

While the movie is totally set before Fury Road, we knew that it would lead directly into the events of that movie, while George Miller already has plans to tell at least one more Mad Max story with The Wasteland.

The soft opening weekend for Furiosa might have stalled that, but there's every chance that we could still get another Mad Max movie.

So you might be wondering if there are any extras to stick around for in the credits, teasing a future return to the Wasteland.

We're here with the definitive guide to whether Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has any post-credits scenes.

What to Read Next

It's perhaps not a surprise there's not a new scene given that even if Mad Max: The Wasteland does happen, it'll again be a Fury Road prequel telling the story of Mad Max before the events of that movie.

However, there are some scenes that play out during Furiosa's credits, just not new ones. If you want to know more, read on.

What happens during Furiosa's credits?

The final scene of Furiosa sees her take Immortan Joe's wives from the Citadel and hide them in her war rig, ending the movie just before Fury Road starts.

In case you weren't aware of that, we're then given a whistle-stop recap of Fury Road as various scenes play during Furiosa's end credits. It marks the only appearances in the movie of Charlize Theron as Furiosa, but they're all archival footage from the movie and not new scenes.

The recap ends pretty much where Fury Road ends, with Nux sacrificing himself to blow up the war rig and stop anybody following them back to the Citadel, before a final flash of Nux's bobblehead at the end of the credits.

This Fury Road speed-run wasn't always included in Furiosa as Miller told Collider that they debated "a lot" about whether to include it due to it 'spoiling' Fury Road if you haven't seen it.

"The thing is, what you're getting at the end credits on Furiosa is you're getting a sample of what happens. So if you haven't seen Fury Road, you're not getting the experience of Fury Road, you're getting, like, a little mini trailer of it," he explained.

"But I thought because it feels like there's a direct flow from the end of one story into another one, I felt it was worth doing. And if you haven't seen Fury Road, it really won't make very much difference at all."
