Venom: The Last Dance will be Tom Hardy's final hurrah as the symbiote.
Speaking to Deadline, Sony Motion Pictures Group chairman Tom Rothman confirmed as much while teasing what's next on the studio's Marvel superhero calendar.
"When the last of the Spider-Verse movies comes with Phil Lord and Chris Miller, it's going to be a significant event, as will the next Tom Holland Spider-Man film," said Rothman, before suggesting the "third and last Venom is going to be huge".

The Last Dance brings back Tom Hardy one final time as journalist Eddie Brock, who's tethered to a monstrous alien lifeform known as Venom.
Released in 2021, its predecessor Venom: Let There Be Carnage finally opened the door to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as J. Jonah Jameson announced the identity of Spider-Man on television in a mid-credits scene.

Accompanying Hardy for his farewell Venom movie is Fargo star Juno Temple, although we still don't know who she'll be playing.
She told Variety back in February: "It's been a wild, wonderful ride. It's so new to me. It's a big set! This is crazy.

"It's been so much fun and I got to work with such cool people. I've been so lucky in my career to just have the most incredible casts. I can't wait for it to get out into the world. I think it's going to be a good one," added Temple.
Specifically on her co-star Hardy, she described his dual characters Venom and Eddie as "really close to his heart".
"It matters to him. I don't know if anyone else could play Venom. That's a tough pair of shoes to follow."
Venom: The Last Dance is set for release on October 25.
