Road House's remake starring Jake Gyllenhaal has finally arrived, and it features a surprise after the credits. Make sure to stick around.
Now available on Prime Video, the movie follows Elwood Dalton, a former UFC fighter who takes on a job as a bouncer in a beachside road house which is being trashed every night by problematic customers.
Just like the original movie released in 1989 and starring Patrick Swayze, this action movie has plenty of bar fights and explosions, as the main hero defends a small town from the evil doings of a greedy businessman.
What to Read Next
If you get to the end of the movie, you might want to know if there is something after the credits before turning off your TV.
Major spoilers ahead.
Does Road House have a credit scene?
Yes, it does! After the ending, the credits show a collection of the best moments of the movie, and right after that there is a small bonus scene that reveals the fate of one particular character.
Road House's mid-credit scene reveals that Knox (played by UFC champion Conor McGregor) is not dead.
In his final fight with Dalton, Knox got stabbed multiple times with a wooden stick and was left bleeding on the floor. It's likely many viewers thought he was dead, but he actually survived.
In the credit scene, wearing a hospital gown that leaves very little to the imagination, Knox fights his way out of the building leaving a trail of blood and battered bodies in his wake.
Does this mean we might see Knox again in the future? Could Road House have a sequel with Dalton and Knox crossing paths again? Or was this just an excuse to show Conor McGregor's bum again?
We'll have to wait to see if this credit scene is leaving the door open for some potential continuation. Although, given the movie's controversial streaming release and its mild critical reception, it's unlikely that a sequel is on the cards at this time.
Talking with Total Film, McGregor opened up about his movie debut.
"I was just in awe of it all, to be honest with you, the whole process," he said.
"I didn't know how I was going to take to it. I didn't know whether I was going to like it, to be honest. I'm a fighting man – that's my bread and butter. It's where I come from… I'm not an actor, but I'm show business.
"That was my vibe to it. I felt that. I enjoyed every second of it."
Road House is now available to watch on Prime Video.
