Alec Baldwin and Kevin Spacey have joined the voice cast for Boss Baby.

The pair will star in DreamWorks Animation's family comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Madagascar and Megamind director Tom McGrath is helming the project.

The film will centre around a fast-talking, briefcase-carrying baby (Baldwin) and his jealous older brother.

In a bid to win his parents' respect, the brother stumbles upon a villainous plot by the CEO of Puppy Co (Spacey).

Baldwin previously voiced characters in DreamWorks' Rise of the Guardians and Madagascar 2: Escape From Africa.

Boss Baby will be Spacey's first animated project since 1998's A Bug's Life.
