Madame Web's Dakota Johnson would be up for a sequel.

In the brand-new superhero thriller based on the Marvel Comics character, the Suspiria actress portrays paramedic Cassie Webb, a clairvoyant with the ability to witness future events inside the 'spider world'.

Thanks to its open-ended climax, Digital Spy exclusively asked Johnson about potentially returning to the role.

"There is so much I would like to look at," she said. "If they want me to come back, then I will."

Madame Web director SJ Clarkson also weighed in on the possibility, telling DS: "If I had clairvoyance I would tell you [what she'd want to explore in a sequel]. I've not long finished the film, so I'm going to put it out there in the world and see what happens."

Elsewhere in our chat, Johnson shared her ideal Marvel team-up, even though she's only just got to grips with the lore.

"Well, see, this is my first kind of introduction to Marvel, so I feel I would choose whichever superheroes have more physical strengths than Madame Web," she explained. "I feel she could handle all the intellectual stuff, and then I just need people who are really strong or like shoot lasers or fireballs out of their fingertips or something.

"I don't know who those heroes are, but I'll take them."

Madame Web is out now in cinemas.
