Rachel Brosnahan has been "stalking" journalists in preparation for her role as Lois Lane in the upcoming movie Superman: Legacy.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly on the Emmy Awards red carpet, Brosnahan revealed how she is preparing for the role in director James Gunn's upcoming movie.

"I'm stalking my journalist friends right now," Brosnahan quipped. "I'm just trying to understand a little bit more deeply kind of how that mindset works."

Opening up about what inspired her to take on the famous role, Brosnahan said she grew up watching Margot Kidder, who starred as Lois Lane opposite Christoper Reeve in the Superman films.

"There's not a lot of women in these universes anyway," she said of Kidder's portrayal. "It was nice to see somebody onscreen who felt as ambitious as I felt as a younger woman."

When asked who she was hoping to run into during the red carpet event, Brosnahan revealed that she had just had a mini reunion with her Superman: Legacy co-star Anthony Carrigan, who is set to star as Metamorpho in the movie.

"Well, speaking of Superman, I just ran into Anthony Carrigan. And we haven't seen each other since our casting announcements, so it was a really nice reunion, we've known each other for years... so that was a really nice moment."
