John Krasinski and Natalie Portman have joined the cast for Fountain of Youth, the new film from Guy Ritchie.

As per Deadline, the Apple TV+ film will follow two “estranged siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who partner up on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth.

“They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives – and possibly lead to immortality.”

The script is currently being penned by James Vanderbilt, with shooting set to begin in the coming weeks. The feature comes during a busy period for Ritchie, which has seen Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, The Covenant and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare all produced since the beginning of last year.

Portman was recently seen in May December, which sees the star play an actor who meets a controversial real-life figure as she prepares for a role. Whilst there, the boundaries between art and real-life are blurred as Portman’s character goes to extremes in the name of acting.

The film, which was directed by Todd Haynes, also stars Julianne Moore and Charles Melton in the central roles, and Portman recently spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about the process of building tension on set.

“I think it was something that came out of our meeting each other and being attracted to each other,” she began. “First of all, it was so extraordinary to get to work with Julie, who I've admired for so long… I felt like immediately we were in sync, we were just connected.

“I think the two characters are constantly fighting for power, it's a power struggle about who gets to tell the story. They both have their versions of the story that they want to tell, and they'll use any means necessary, including seduction.”

There is no release date for Fountain of Youth. May December is streaming on Sky Cinema.
