Taika Waititi has confirmed he won't return to direct another instalment of Thor.
The director, who helmed Thor's most recent outing Love and Thunder, has revealed he's stepping away from the franchise, despite previously teasing a fifth movie.
While speaking to Business Insider, Waititi was asked directly if a new Thor movie was in development and answered: "I wouldn't know if that's accurate. I know that I won't be involved. I'm going to concentrate on these other films that I've signed on for."

Waititi is currently working on a big-screen adaptation of Alejandro Jodorowsky's graphic novel The Incal and is developing his Star Wars movie, plus an adaptation of Klara and the Sun.
With all that going on, Waititi said he's booked up for the next six or seven years and would imagine that a new Thor movie would have to be done by then.

"But I love Marvel, I love working with them. I love Chris [Hemsworth]," he added.
When asked how he'd feel about a new Thor movie being made by another director, Waititi joked: "I would never feel like they are cheating on me. We're in an open relationship, and it's like if they want to see other people, I'm happy for that. I'd still get back into bed with them one day."

Thor: Love and Thunder was not the best received outing in the Marvel franchise and the God of Thunder himself Chris Hemsworth previously addressed the criticisms.
"I think we just had too much fun. It just became too silly," he told GQ. "It's always hard being in the centre of it and having any real perspective… I love the process, it's always a ride. But you just don't know how people are going to respond."
All four Thor movies are available to stream now on Disney+.
