The Marvels is officially the shortest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's history, which puts an end (for now) to the franchise's trend of delivering two-hour-plus movies.
It seems like Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel) and Monica Rambeau (no superhero name yet) don't need that long to save the universe and win our hearts in the process.
We can confirm that The Marvels runs for 105 minutes (1 hour and 45 minutes).
That means the movie beats Thor: The Dark World (112 minutes) as the shortest MCU movie and stays far away from the mammoth runtimes of other recent Marvel movies, such as Spider-Man: No Way Home (148 minutes) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (149 minutes).
Avengers: Endgame is still the longest MCU movie to date, with a runtime of over three hours (181 minutes).
In a recent exclusive interview with Digital Spy, The Marvels director Nia DaCosta defended the "short" runtime for the film.

"I really wanted it to be under two hours. I always think about the runtime, actually, when I go into a film. I just feel like there's no need to have it long if you don't need to because 1 hour [and] 45 minutes is pretty average for a movie, so we were all really excited," she said.
"I just think you do what's right for the movie. I didn't even know about this runtime thing until I think it was reported on. You have to do what's right for the movie."
Part of Phase Five of the MCU, The Marvels sees the protagonist trio's powers getting tangled, causing them to swap places every time they use them.
This couldn't come at a worse time, as Kree leader Dar-Benn (played by Zawe Ashton) is threatening the universe's stability due to the ongoing war against the Skrulls.
Brie Larson returns as Captain Marvel after offering much-needed assistance against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. Teyonah Parris reprises her role as Monica Rambeau from WandaVision, and Iman Vellani is back as Kamala Khan, aka Ms Marvel, after leading one of Marvel's best TV series on Disney+.
Samuel L Jackson is also returning as Nick Fury, only a few months after leading the cast of Secret Invasion on Disney+.
And let's not forget another major comeback: Goose the Flerken! Actually, many other Flerkens will feature in The Marvels, as it was revealed in one of the latest trailers.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige even compared the movie to 2012's The Avengers, calling it "chill-inducing".
It seems a shorter runtime is far from a negative thing.
