Black Widow star Olga Kurylenko has landed her next movie role, joining the cast for Misdirection.

The actress, who played Antonia Dreykov in the MCU film, will star alongside Armand Assante and Oliver Trevena in the home-invasion thriller, which is being directed by Kevin Lewis (via Deadline).

Misdirection will follow “a desperate couple (Kurylenko and Trevena), who have pulled off a string of high-end break-ins to pay off a mob debt. When they attempt to rob their latest victim, they find themselves caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse where the tables are turned and the hunters become the hunted.”

“I am over the moon to be working with Olga, Armand, Oliver, and the rest of our amazing and talented team on crafting a tight, edge-of-your-seat thriller that will entertain audiences worldwide,” said Lewis, who had previously directed Nicolas Cage in Willy’s Wonderland.

“I am so excited to be working again with my recent co-star and friend from The Paradox Effect, Olga Kurylenko,” added Trevena. “With Armand Assante on board, this will be a thrill ride both on the set and in the theatre.”

Kurylenko, who has also appeared in Extraction 2 and 007 film Quantum of Solace, spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about her role as Taskmaster in Black Widow and the need for secrecy.

“It was more tricky when people would mention it and I just had to pretend like: 'Oh, yeah, I've heard of it. Whatever.' And not to say it. Which felt like I'm almost lying,” she said. “But that was the deal. I couldn't really say. I didn't even tell my mother.

“I think people expected [Taskmaster] to be a male, [but] of course, it's a gender swap,” she added. “It shouldn't be about gender, it should be about how good you are. And guess what? When she's in that suit, she's good at what she does.”
