Joker: Folie à Deux, the Joker sequel, is currently filming. That means photographs from the set are starting to appear online, giving up a small taste of what we might expect in the finished product.
In these latest photos, we see Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck/Joker looking slightly clown-y, with some faint smeared make-up but lacking the diamonds around his eyes and the green coloured hair.
He's also in quite a drab suit as opposed to his colourful one from the first film.

Overall, he looks like he's somewhere between his two personas, which makes the fact there's another, slightly taller, actor dressed exactly how Joker was in the first film all the more interesting.
This doesn't strike us as just being a stunt double, as you'd think they would be wearing the same outfit if that was the case.
What to Read Next
It could be a member of the public dressing up as the Joker, but it feels unlikely that the outfit would be as spot-on.
Could this additional Joker actually be a figment of Arthur's imagination, a product of his fractured psyche? All we can do at the moment is guess, but that's what we'd put our money on.

What we do know about the sequel is that Lady Gaga will feature in it, and it looks like she's playing this film universe's version of Harley Quinn.
Brendan Gleeson, Jacob Lofland and Catherine Keener are also joining the cast, whilst Zazie Beetz is returning.
Joker: Folie à Deux is scheduled for a cinema release date of October 4, 2024. Joker is available to buy on Blu-ray or streaming now.
