John Wick spin-off Ballerina is sounding intriguing, with Ana de Armas recently teasing one big fight sequence.

Bringing together the likes of Keanu Reeves, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane and Angelica Huston as their respective John Wick characters, as well as Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) and Gabriel Byrne (Hereditary), this one centres on Armas's assassin Rooney.

Naturally, she'll be locking horns with Baba Yaga himself.

"We've been in Prague filming for four months," the Knives Out actress revealed while stopping by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

"We still have one more month to go. And I'm in pain. You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I'm complaining, I'm sore, I'm bruised. Bond [movie No Time to Die] was 15 minutes. This is a whole movie, another level.

"But the other day, Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing crazy stunts. And I'm like — I can't complain anymore. Because he is doing it! He truly is the best."

Amazingly, it was during this time that Armas learned of her Best Actress Golden Globe nomination too, for playing Marilyn Monroe in Blonde.

Back in July 2022, the star revealed how she fought hard to land Emerald Fennell as a writer on Ballerina.

"It was really important for me to hire a female writer, because to that point when I got involved in the project, it was only the director, Len Wiseman, and another guy [Shay Hatten]. And I was like, 'That's not going to work,'" she told Elle.

"So I interviewed, like, five or six female writers. We hired Emerald Fennell, which I was so proud of."

The John Wick movies are available to buy or rent on Prime Video, plus DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD.
