John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum star Anjelica Huston is bringing The Director to spin-off Ballerina.

This thrilling casting news arrived via The Hollywood Reporter, with director Len Wiseman (Underworld) currently rolling the cameras for Ana De Armas's kickass debut as the assassin Rooney.

Shay Hatten (Rebel Moon) and Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) co-wrote the script, which follows Rooney's plight to avenge her murdered family.

Huston's character – head of the Ruska Roma crime syndicate – chewed scenes throughout 2019's Parabellum when Keanu Reeves's master hitman John Wick sought her out for help.

"The idea of Ballerina was formed around the scenes with Anjelica in John Wick 3," shared co-producer Erica Lee in a statement.

She's not the only Wick favourite to be returning to this universe either, as Ian McShane's The Continental manager Winston will be back for Ballerina.

"We're thrilled to have Ian McShane joining us for a pivotal role in Ballerina. He's been such an integral part of the franchise since the original John Wick. It's been fun to have him on this journey as the Wick universe expands," said co-producer Basil Iwanyk.

The John Wick movies are available to buy or rent on Prime Video, plus DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD.
