Star Wars alums Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley both have exciting new movies coming out – but both pictures have now been left without release dates.
The distribution company STX has undergone a major reconstruction and has since announced it will no longer distribute films but will only act as a production company. That has left a number of major movies without distribution deals and, therefore, release dates.
Release date: Star Wars, The Matrix and Game of Thrones stars join epic new movie
What to Read Next
First is Ridley's The Marsh King's Daughter, which follows Ridley as a woman who was abducted in her youth and has to face her dark past when her father escapes from prison. The film stars fellow Star Wars alum Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One) and is directed by Limitless's Neil Burger.
Second is Driver's highly-anticipated biopic Ferrari, which depicts the life of Italian driver entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari with Driver in the lead role. The movie also stars Penélope Cruz and Shailene Woodley and comes from director Michael Mann – his first movie since 2015's Blackhat.

Ferrari, in particular, is a big-budget project that production company Lionsgate is keen to get a theatrical release deal in place for, as reported by Deadline. It's not all glum news for Driver, though. His latest movie White Noise, which also stars Greta Gerwig, has debuted to strong reviews.
Elsewhere, Guy Ritchie's latest movie Operation Fortune is another project from STX that is without a release date. That picture stars Ritchie favourite Jason Statham in the lead role along with Hugh Grant, Aubrey Plaza, Cary Elwes and Bugzy Malone.
