Black Adam stars have weighed in on their future in the expanded DC universe, and it's looking promising.

The Dwayne Johnson movie features To All The Boys star Noah Centineo in the role of Albert "Al" Rothstein aka Atom Smasher, a member of the Justice Society of America (JSA) who can manipulate his molecular structure.

"For me, it was always very much about this one," Centineo told Digital Spy in an exclusive chat.

"But everyone is really excited about [the future], for sure. Without a doubt, the seeds have been planted for large expansion."

"One of the great securities that I found with this film is that the people who were making it are fans themselves," Hodge said.

"[Dwayne] has been a DC fan for eons and even his whole team over at Seven Bucks Productions, Hiram Garcia who's president of Seven Bucks, this man knows DC history in and out like nobody's business. I've never met anybody who knows DC like Hiram," he continued.

"So when you think about their leadership together moving forward – because they are fans, they understand what the fans want and how to speak to the fans – you just feel comfortable with the direction they're going to take it in."

The film on Johnson's antihero, who first appeared in a cameo in Shazam!, boasts a stellar ensamble, also including Sex/Life's Sarah Shahi, Aladdin's Marwan Kenzari, Euphoria's Quintessa Swindell and former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan.

Black Adam is out in cinemas now.
