Halloween Ends star Jamie Lee Curtis has reflected on filming her last ever scene as Laurie Strode.

Directed by David Gordon Green, Halloween Ends serves as the final chapter for Green's reboot trilogy and will see Jamie Lee Curtis reprise her role as 'final girl' Laurie Strode for one last time.

Halloween Ends also serves as the last ever instalment of the slasher franchise – though OG director John Carpenter's predictions suggest otherwise.

In an interview with Total Film, Curtis opened up about filming her last scene as the character she has portrayed for over forty years.

As movies are shot out of sequence, the last ever scene Curtis shot as Strode was a solitary scene of her character in a car and not a dramatic final showdown with Michael.

"I realised that would be the last time I ever saw Laurie Strode," she told the publication.

According to Curtis, the significance of the scene was not lost on the cast or the crew and everyone was left in tears.

"It was very powerful for me. I wept. David wept. We all recognised that moment, that it was the wrap for Laurie Strode and me. And this community of artists who made these movies. It was a big deal."

Current Michael Myers actor James Jude Courtney and Andi Matichak, who plays Laurie Strode's granddaughter, both went to witness movie history despite not being scheduled to work on the scene.

"My heart just broke open. It was incredible to know that this is it for Jamie as Laurie Strode," said Matichak.

"It was bittersweet for all of us. She’s definitely ready to put it down. She’s carried this for 40-some-odd years," said Courtney of his on-screen nemesis.
