Don't Worry Darling star Chris Pine's representative has squashed those Harry Styles allegations.
Fresh out of yesterday's (September 5) Venice International Film Festival premiere for the pair's new psychological thriller – headlined by the mighty Florence Pugh – a member of the crowd videoed the moment Styles sat down next to Pine in the screening theater.
According to many social media users, the singer and actor could be seen casually spitting on his colleague while taking a seat.

"This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation," Pine's rep wrote in a statement obtained by Variety.
"Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist."

At her movie's press conference in Venice, director Olivia Wilde was asked to "clear the air" about the Pugh feud rumours.
"Florence is a force," she stated in front of the press. "We are so grateful she's able to make it tonight [for the red carpet] despite being in production on Dune [Part 2].
"I know, as a director, how disruptive it is to lose an actor even for a day, so I'm very grateful to her, and to [director] Denis Villeneuve for helping us. And we'll get to celebrate her work tonight.
"I can't say how honoured I am to have her as our lead. She's amazing. As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don't feel the need to contribute. I think it's sufficiently well-nourished."
Don't Worry Darling hits cinemas on September 23.
