Upcoming film Dumb Money is gathering quite a roster of stars, as Marvel's Sebastian Stan, The Batman's Paul Dano, Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson and Seth Rogen have all signed on, according to Deadline.

The film, based on Ben Mezrich's book The Antisocial Network, will be directed by Pam & Tommy's Craig Gillespie, and produced by Black Bear. Filming is expected to start in October.

In 2021, a group of amateur investors decided to buy a large amount of stock in struggling bricks-and-mortar video game shop Game Stop, a move that nearly brought Wall Street to its knees. MGM bought the rights to the story very shortly after it happened, although now the previously-mentioned Black Bear has taken over production.

Producer Teddy Schwarzman said of the film: "Lauren [Schuker Blum] and Rebecca [Angelo] have masterfully adapted Ben Mezrich's exceptional book detailing one of the greatest underdog stories of our time.

"Craig Gillespie is a tremendous leader with exceptional vision and has assembled a tremendous ensemble. We're honoured to partner with him, Aaron Ryder and this terrific team, in front and behind the camera, to bring Dumb Money to audiences everywhere."

The film sets up a reunion between Stan, Rogen and Gillespie, who all worked together on Pam & Tommy, following the antics of Pamela Anderson and her husband Tommy Lee. The series was a big hit, earning 10 Emmy nominations, including Best Limited Series, Lead Actor for Stan and Supporting Actor for Rogen.

Paul Dano, meanwhile, received glowing reviews for his performance as The Riddler in The Batman, and can be seen in the upcoming Stephen Spielberg film The Fabelmans, which is premiering at Toronto Film Festival next week.

No release date has been set yet for Dumb Money.
