Ozark's Jason Bateman is being lined up to star in upcoming Netflix thriller Carry On alongside Kingsman's Taron Egerton.
The movie will follow Ethan Kopek, a young TSA agent who "gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveller to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight".
Deadline reports that Bateman is in negotiations to play the mysterious traveller, though Netflix is yet to confirm the casting.

Carry On will be the first film made as part of a production deal announced last year that sees the streaming platform team up with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Partners.
It will be directed by Jungle Cruise's Jaume Collet-Serra from a script by TJ Fixman, with additional writing by Michael Green.
Meanwhile, Bateman recently wrapped up production on Ben Affleck's untitled Prime Video movie about the true-life story of former Nike executive Sonny Vaccaro.
The movie will follow trainer salesman Vaccaro (played by Matt Damon) in his pursuit of a collaboration with Michael Jordan in the 1980s. Affleck will play Phil Knight, who co-founded Nike, as the company seek to sign the basketball legend to endorse the brand.

Bateman will be playing Rob Strasser, a Nike executive who was a key figure in signing Jordan to the endorsement.
The actor's Netflix cartel thriller Ozark also wrapped up after four seasons earlier this year. The finale – SPOILER warning – saw the Byrde family ultimately escape their deadly confines unscathed, while Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) met her demise.
Previously speaking of the twisty finale, series boss Chris Mundy revealed that a debate broke out in the writers' room when trying to decide Ruth's fate, but they eventually decided that it wouldn't be authentic "if everyone just gets off too easily".
Ozark is available to stream on Netflix.
